The Second Annual Mondo Roots Cultural Arts and Music Festival

What can I say, other than how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to capture the second annual Mondo Roots Cultural Arts and Music Festival. For my new visitors here who aren’t familiar with who I am please see my about page. I came on-board with the Mondo Roots Festival approximately one month before the event, I was super excited and motivated, I love crushing goals. When I was asked if I would do this, my initial response was “Yes, but I’ve never done anything quite like this.” Fast forward one month and I am hanging out with Nappy Roots inside the newly renovated North Carolina Paper  Co. building on Main Street Clayton, North Carolina! Amazing what Dakno Marketing, Jaclyn Smith Properties and One 27 Homes have done with the Paper co. building, really. On a side note @papercoproject has perfect natural lighting, 1600 ISO, f/3.5 , aperture priority mode, 85mm on a Nikon D7200 – magic!

There is an energy here in Clayton, North Carolina and on nights like last night it’s palpable. Or maybe it’s because I was standing near the speakers while DJ Jedi scratched on the turntables. Either way I can dig it.  There are some really awesome changes happening in town, I’m just glad that every now and again I get to capture some of the happenings and share them with you. Although I must say Mondo Roots was a tad extraordinary. I wont write much more, I want the images to tell the story. Thank you for stopping by and please comment and share, also if you see your image please feel free to download your image and share it how you wish.
